Wheatland Iowa Click on any image to see a larger version! Wheatland Iowa is on the old main road that was bypassed by the old highway that was bypassed by the interstate. Needless to say, people don't go there too much. The town does have a little bar that was getting some traffic at 11:00 am. no doubt they were serving coffee. There is this nice brick building by the train tracks that run between the old main road and the old highway. if you take a look at the side that runs along the train tracks you will see the brick siding has fallen away. The vine that is on the side disappears inside the wall and comes out again under the eaves.
