| On the Peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area there were not always freeways. Sha, really... go figure! The old thoroughfares were the El Camino Real, The Alameda de las Pulgas, and more recently what is now called the "Old Bayshore highway" which has been surpasses by highway 101. But the Old Bayshore, like Route 66, still has bits and pieces of the forgotten byway that linger. It is on these bits and pieces that you can see the signs of old watering holes and motels. Dot & Andy's rests at the southern edge of the San Bruno Mountains. Stop by and take a load off. |
