This picture was taken the day after at huge storm from hit the northern coast of California. The waves always seem to lag behind the weather. The funny things about giant surf is that it really doesn't look big. Instead it seems to make everything else look small. The cliff the surf is hitting is perhaps 60 or 70 feet, the splash of the wave is 40 or more feet above the cliff. It was quite a dramatic drive down the coast.
