In December 2006, I had a photography project at Renaissance Guitars in Santa Cruz, CA. I was taking pictures of one guitar being constructed from start to finish. This picture is taken after the braces have been glued to the guitar. The next step is to carve the taper into the braces. The luthier was giving a nice taper to the braces with a sharp chisel and these lovely little curls of wood were spinning off.
