Moss doesn't just grow on trees, it produces flowers too! That's what these little orangish-brown things are. As I was shooting this I watched a centipede crawl from one pod to the next snacking and pollenating. It isn't really in focus in this sho, but the centipede is at the right edge of the photo in the vertical center.
