| Nothing is quite as plain as it seems. When you look at something in a different way than you are accustomed to, it can be revealed as almost an entirely different thing. For this picture I took the three petals that are usually lifted up and around the Iris and bent them back."Oooh," I exclaimed, "look at all of the lovely textures and hints of color!" The faintest blush of lavender right in the center. Spotted leopard patterns in burgundy, visible in no other way. The form & structure of the inside of the iris flower become sculptural with the crispness of some of the lines. |
