Eye-of-the-Iris

Get right up close to an iris. The structure of the petals seems crystaline and they sparkle in the light. Softer than velvet, delicate as a sigh, an Iris flower has so much more to offer upon closer inspection. Move closer look right down into the tube that holds the stamen. Look at the enormous variety of coloring and the subtle shading. Some have a hint of pefume. There is much to appreciate in an iris.
