Down in the bottoms of my place there lives a wild fruit tree that shows very pretty pink blossoms every spring. Of course it is not as easy as that. in order to take pictures of the flowers I have to schlep all of my camera equipment and a ladder accross the field over to the branch where it grows and then balance on the ladder while trying to hold still enough to take a picture. Yes, it looks easy when all you see is the picture. What you don't see are all of the scratches and bruises and tick bites... Oh how I suffer for my art... :-)
I love how the stamens and petals of the flowers change colors once they have been pollinated. each of this trio has a different color pallate. The one problem is that I have never made it over to the tree to see the fruit... maybe next year. |
