| This is known as the Rough-fruited Cinquefoil - Potentilla recta. Here you have a view of the blossom and a bud. The pale-yellow flower goes through a number of stages and is attractive and interesting in each. After it is fertilized the petals fall off and the underlaying green leaves are dusted with pollen and retain a flower-like appearance |
